August 25, 2008

Ambassador Charles L. Glazer and University of El Salvador Rector Rufino Antonio Quezada Sanchez signed a grant that will fund the travel of a high level delegation of administrators from the University of El Salvador to the U.S.  The document was signed by both representatives on Monday August 25.

The four-member delegation will travel to travel to the US with the intention of visiting the Iowa State University, De Paul University, University of New Hampshire, Central Connecticut State University, and George Mason University.

The purpose of this trip is to develop programs of technical, academic, cultural and financial cooperation and to promote the academic and scientific exchanges between the Salvadoran University and with other universities or organisms in the United States. The trip will take place from September 7 to the 16.

Ambassador Glazer stated that this grant shows that “the US is committed to supporting higher education so that Salvadoran professionals can contribute to a better future for this great country”.
