Fulbright Scholarship Application Period is Open

The Embassy of the United States in El Salvador informs that the 2009-2010 Fulbright and Fulbright LASPAU (Academic and Professional Programs for the Americas) Scholarships for graduate studies application period is now open for candidates who want to start academic studies in the United States between August and September 2010.

The Fulbright Scholarship program is designed for professionals with academic excellence, great leadership skills, civic spirit, and special vocation to public service.   While scholarships for Nursing, Dentistry, and other medical careers are not considered for this program, Public Health is considered.  We especially encourage female applicants, applicants from outside the metropolitan area, and professionals interested in public and/or educational services.   

The Fulbright-LASPAU scholarships were conceived to promote faculty development and training in the universities of the Americas. This scholarship encourages universities to nomínate their faculty, investigators and administrators to do gradúate studies in the US.

Application deadline is Saturday, January 31, at 11:59 p.m., San Salvador time.

Fulbright scholarship applicants have to send the application and documents to fulbrightelsalvador@state.gov
