Several Salvadoran journalists listen to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

On April 17, the US Embassy in San Salvador held a viewing party for almost two dozen journalists including TV, radio, and print media. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared before an audience in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic at a Town Hall meeting carried in live stream over the internet, to answer questions posed from around the hemisphere. She spoke about significance of the 5th Summit of the Americas, what the US hoped to achieve, and other issues important to the Hemisphere.

Prior to the Digital Town Hall, Public Affairs Officer Alberto Rodriguez and Charge d’Affaires Robert Blau gave brief remarks on the importance of the Summit of the Americas which is happening this weekend in Trinidad and Tobago.
