San Salvador Gets Ready to Commemorate Lunar Landing

On July 14, the U.S. Embassy in San Salvador, the National Anthopology Museum (MUNA), Tin Marin Children’s Museum, and the National Astronomy Society (ASTRO) launched a week of programs to commemorate “A Giant Leap: 40 Years of the Lunar Landing”.

The programs include a series of events to commemorate the arrival of Man on the Moon as part of the celebrations happening around the world to remember this important milestone in the history of humankind that occured on July 20, 1969.

The events range from the projection of films about the Apollo missions and NASA, specialized conferences, the inauguration of new exhibitions in the museums, to the visit of a US astronaut to El Salvador.
