On September 9, Charge d’Affaires Robert Blau inaugurated a historic photo exhibition at the National Anthropology Museum (MUNA) in San Salvador. The exhibit entitled “The United States and El Salvador: An Enduring Relationship” highlights the diplomatic relations between El Salvador and the United States which began in 1825.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton inaugurated this exhibition at the U.S. Embassy when she visited El Salvador in June. The exhibition will be open for the general public at the museum through September 30, 2009. The exhibition includes 37 photos; beginning with the visit of President-Elect Herbert Hoover to El Salvador in 1928 and includes the periods up to Secretary Clinton’s meeting with Salvadoran President Mauricio Funes immediately following his inauguration on June 1, 2009.
