New U.S. Studies Room at Salvadoran University
On October 29, President of Don Bosco University Federico Miguel Huguet and Cultural Affairs Officer Carolyn Turpin inaugurated the new “Sala Estadounidense”, a U.S. Studies Room, located in the university’s main library.
The project was initially contemplated a couple of years ago during the visit of Steve Kerchoff, then IRO for Mexico and Central America, who met the academic authorities , and later on with the visit of his successor, Mrs. Elizabeth Leonard. The new studies room consists of books, magazines, maps, and book shelves provided with the support of the Public Affairs Office.
The new collections include biographies of famous Americans, as well as works about the history, literature, geography, and government of the United States.
