Salvadoran Technical Secretary Alexander Segovia and Ambassador Aponte presented the Scorecard.

In a joint press conference, U.S. Ambassador Mari Carmen Aponte joined Salvadoran Technical Secretary Dr. Alexander Segovia in presenting the first semi-annual scorecard for the 5-year Partnership for Growth.

The scorecard highlights progress on each of the 20 goals specified in the Joint Country Action Plan, and characterizes progress on each goal with a rating of either “behind schedule,” “on track,” “ahead of schedule” or “completed.”  In this first report, 2 of the 20 goals were categorized as “behind schedule,” while the other 18 goals were characterized as “on track.”  A narrative statement justifying the rating for each goal is included in the scorecard report, which covers the period November 2011 to May 2012.
This report is the first in a series of semi-annual scorecards designed to report to the public on goal-level progress of the Partnership for Growth. The next scorecard will be compiled in November 2012, following the one-year anniversary of the signing of the PFG Joint Country Action Plan by both governments in November 2011.
