Partnership For Growth

Partnership For Growth

Partnership for Growth is a joint economic development program between the governments of the United States and El Salvador, which was announced by President Obama during his visit to El Salvador in March 2011.  The objective of the program is to identify key issues, or binding constraints, that are preventing El Salvador from growing more rapidly, and to unify efforts among the U.S. and Salvadoran governments, as well as other international donors, to resolve these constraints.

El Salvador is one of only four countries in the world selected to participate in this program – and the only country in the Western Hemisphere.  The other countries are Ghana, Tanzania, and the Philippines.
